Thursday March 13:
Model event and registration - 1:00 - 4:00PM
Friday March 14:
Model event and registration - 10:00AM - 4:00PM
Sprint: starts 2:00 - 3:00PM; Course closes 4:00PM
Saturday March 15:
Model event and registration - 8:00AM - 2:00PM
Middle distance: First start 9:30AM; course closes 1:00PM
Awards, sprint and middle - 1:00PM
Improve your ski-o skills with the US team, 2pm.
Sunday March 16:
Long distance, mass start at 9:30AM; course closes 1:00PM
Awards, long distance - 2:00PM

Winning Times
Sprint: 10-15 minutes, all classes
Middle: 40-45 minutes M/F 21, 25-40min all other classes
Long: 95-100 minutes M21, 75-90 minutes F21. 50-80 minutes all other classes.

M-14, F-14
M-16, F-16
M-18, F-18
M-20, F-20
Age class ranges are indicated by a “-“or a “+”. A “-“ before the age means “and younger”, the “+” after the age means “and older”. Age is determined as of 12/31/2014.

Championship Eligibility
US Championship medals will be awarded to the top three competitors in each of the championship classes that meet both the following criteria:

  • are members in good standing of Orienteering USA
  • are either a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the USA

World Ranking Event (WRE)
All three races will be IOF World Ranking Events for the M/F21 classes. All competitors in these classes will be entered into the WRE and be required to follow all IOF rules.

Trapp Family Lodge ski trails are off limits to all competitors after March 9th, 2014. Competitors may use the facility prior to that date but may not ski with a map. Warm-up/wax test areas will be designated prior to the event and going beyond those areas by competitors or coaches prior to their start is grounds for disqualification.

Driving Directions
From Waterbury, VT and Interstate 89, Exit 10 Head north on Rt. 100 for approximately 7 miles Turn left onto Moscow road. Proceed about 1.5 miles Turn right onto Barrows Rd. Proceed about 1.8 miles Turn left onto Luce Hill Rd. Proceed about 0.8 miles Turn left onto Trapp Hill Rd. Proceed about 0.8 miles. Parking will be on the right just past the Outdoor Center.

Sportident electronic punching will be used for all classes in all races. Rental equipment will be available for free, but if lost a $40 fee will be charged.

The Trapp Family Lodge has arranged for a special rate of $235/night which represents a 20% discount from their norRmal rate. Mention the US Ski-orienteering championships when making your reservation. Entry Fees
Entry fees are per day and include all trail fees. Last day to enter is March 9th.
Model event on Thursday is free.
Adult is 21+, Junior is 20 and under. Ages as of 12/31/2014.
Member refers to current members of OUSA/COF/IOF
Before 2/16/14: Member $32, non-member $36. Junior member $18, junior non-member $20.
After 2/16/14: Member $42, non-member $46. Junior member $23, junior non-member $25.
